In 2006, Pack 2010 was chartered through Arcola United Methodist Church located in Loudoun County, Virginia. We are members of the Goose Creek District, which is part of the National Capital Area Council of the Boys Scouts of America. This year, our Pack consists of ten (10) dens with approximately 100 scouts! We're always open to adding to our ranks! Please see our Pack By-Laws for more information about our Pack. For boys in middle or high school, Arcola UMC is sponsoring Boy Scout Troop 2012. Here's how to JOIN PACK 2010 or VOLUNTEER .===================================================================== PACK PICNIC AND ROCKET DERBYSaturday, June 1 at Arcola UMC (field next to parking lot) from 3:00pm-6:00pmAttire: Class B Uniform We will finish off our scouting year with the Pack Picnic and Rocket Derby. Picnic Schedule: 3:00-3:20 rocket check in and registration 3:20 style judging begins 3:25-4:00 final Pack awards, year-end announcements and rocket style awards 4:00-5:45 Rocket launch and picnic 5:45 - 6:00 Clean up ________________________________________________________________________ WILD WEST DAY CAMPThe Wild West Day Camp has turned out to be very popular! We had an overwhelming response which means that we are no longer able to accept any more registrations to The Wild West Day Camp at Morven Park because we have reached the maximum number of participants for our chaperone-to-camper ratio as well as for transportation. Continue checking the website for more details.Remember, if you're looking for things to do this summer, links to the online rank requirements are located at the bottom of this page and you can get a head start for next year! ________________________________________________________________________  ABOUT BELT LOOPS... The Cub Scout Academic & Sport Belt Loop and Pin program is an optional elective. It's a fun way to learn more about a variety of subjects and sports. Belt Loops can be completed as a Pack, as a Den, or individually. If your scout plays an organized sport, they've probably already completed the requirements to earn a Sports Belt Loop. Belt Loops have 3 requirements. Pins are an extension of Belt Loops and have an additional 5 or 6 requirements. To earn a Loop or Pin, complete the worksheet requirements, report it to your den leaders, and awards are distributed at the following Pack Meeting. For more information about the CUB SCOUT LOOP AND PIN PROGRAM, select any of the 25 Academic Loops or 28 Sports Loops. Each link has a PDF worksheet that will aid in the completion of Loop and Pin requirements. _____________________________________________________________________
